Biography
Ukrainian-born Eva Rabchevska made her debut as a violinist at the age of eight with the Lviv Chamber Orchestra. After studying with Mariia Futorska, Yaroslava Rivnyak and Jozef Kopelman, she completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the Escuela Superior de Musica Reine Sofia in Madrid with Zakhar Bron. In April 2022, she moved to Antje Weithaas’ class at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin. In September 2021, Eva Rabchevska became a member of the Berliner Philharmoniker’s Karajan Akaademie. Since January 2024 she has been a member of the 2nd violin section of the Berliner Philharmoniker.
As a soloist, she has performed with orchestras such as the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra and the national orchestras of Lithuania and Belgium. She has participated in the Encuentro de Música y Academia de Santander and the Seiji Ozawa International Academy. The violinist has won numerous prizes, including two first prizes at the Lipiński-Wienawski Competition (2017) and the Stuttgart International Violin Competition (2021).
