The Festspielhaus Baden-Baden offers the rare opportunity to watch the Berliner Philharmoniker at work from high above. We took advantage of this again at the Wagner Gala on Monday evening. Down on the stage, there was another last-minute change: Klaus Florian Vogt - Baden-Baden's Lohengrin from 2006 - stood in for Brandon Jovanovich, who was ill, and sang the role of Siegmund. Also taking part: Vida Miknevičiūtė as Sieglinde and Kwangchul Youn as Hunding.
