Once again, the Berliner Philharmoniker plays in a concert hall designed by Jean Nouvel. Two days earlier, the orchestra was a guest at Lucerene's KKL, another of his concert halls. While the Lucerne Concert and Congress Building reminds the viewer of shipyards and plays with water and reflections, the Philharmonie de Paris impresses with a magnificent façade consisting of 340,000 stylised birds made of aluminium. This makes the concert both an external and an internal highlight.
