The Royal Albert Hall is the final stop of the Berliner Philharmoniker’s festival tour this year. At the legendary BBC Proms - we are performing concerts no. 55 and 56 - the programme for Saturday evening includes Smetana’s Ma Vlast and Schumann’s Piano Concerto with soloist Víkingur Ólafsson. On Sunday, the BBC Singers open the evening with three Bruckner motets before his Fifth Symphony is performed for the last time on this tour.

The second evening at the Royal Albert Hall is also our very own “Last Night of the Proms”. The atmosphere in the hall is magical, and during the final applause after Bruckner’s Fifth it becomes clear once again that the audience at the BBC Proms is particularly enthusiastic.
