The Berliner Philharmoniker have a long tradition with the “Prague Spring” Festival. This year, for the first time, they will perform the opening concert, which takes place annually on 12 May - the anniversary of the death of the Czech national composer Bedřich Smetana. Under the direction of chief conductor Kirill Petrenko, they will perform his cycle Má vlast (My Fatherland), as always at the start of the festival.
