The Berliner Philharmoniker’s US tour ended with a jubilant B flat major chord as Kirill Petrenko brought Bruckner’s monumental 5th Symphony to its transcendent conclusion at the Chicago Symphony Center. The audience applause that followed was elated and appreciative.
