The Berliner Philharmoniker’s US tour ended with a jubilant B flat major chord as Kirill Petrenko brought Bruckner’s monumental 5th Symphony to its transcendent conclusion at the Chicago Symphony Center. The audience applause that followed was elated and appreciative.

Having just arrived in Chicago, violist and orchestra archivist Walter Küssner visited the archives of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Frank Villella showed him his treasure trove.
