We are proud to present the third album in the Berliner Philharmoniker Recordings’ new solo edition series, each of which presents a member of the orchestra as a solo artist. This time, harpist Marie-Pierre Langlamet has recorded two works for harp and orchestra. George Frideric Handel’s Harp Concerto is followed by Germaine Tailleferre’s Concertino for Harp and Orchestra, which was first performed by the Berliner Philharmoniker in 2024 under the direction of Juanjo Mena. “Germaine Tailleferre was an incredible composer – very fresh, very authentic and with lots of ideas,” Marie-Pierre Langlamet says of the composer. The Concertino for harp is “full of surprises”.

The digital album with Marie-Pierre Langlamet will be available from 3 January 2025 as a download from Berliner Philharmoniker Recordings and all popular digital music providers. A digital album with first concertmaster Noah Bendix-Balgley and principal violist Amihai Grosz has already been released as part of the soloist series launched by our Berliner Philharmoniker Recordings label to mark its 10th anniversary.
